Although a relative newcomer to the a cappella “scene”, Matthew has been tuned in to the world of a cappella since the mid nineties (read:old). Matthew sang in school choirs beginning in the fourth grade and continued to do so in high school and while studying music education at Piedmont College and The University of Southern Mississippi. Since college, he has paid the bills working various jobs but spends most of his time in the water treatment industry. In the a cappella world, Matthew keeps busy– he is a frequent member of the CASA events team serving in various capacities at SoJam, BOSS, LAAF, AcappellaFest, and VoCal Nation. Matthew has participated in the CARA’s as both a nominator and judge. Besides CASA festivals Matthew also volunteers for Varisty Vocals serving as a judge for ICCA competitions. Matthew has also been involved with groups at all levels advising on formation, competition and recording.
